The Worship Team/Ministry at CCES
To praise and worship God is to express our love and awe of who He is.
In Isaiah 66:1 God says, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.”
He is the Creator of the universe and everything in it, which includes you and me.
How wonderful and amazing is that!
What is Praise and Worship?
Praising and worshiping God is not about a ritual, or prayer repetition. It’s not about spending a few minutes a day reading our Bible or about reciting our wish list on a daily basis. True worship requires total commitment of our body, mind and spirit. It’s about exalting, adoring and acknowledging the God of the Bible. It has nothing to do with religion, but it has everything to do with having an intimate and profound relationship with God – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Praise and Worship is Important at CCES
When you attend CCES, you will notice right away that praise and worship is very important to us! We find that it is JUST as important as the preaching of the Word. It is for that reason, we devote a large part of our service to praising the Father. It puts our heart “right” before God.
How do I join the Worship Ministry?
If you feel that God has gifted you with talents used in praise and worship, we want to give you a chance to use those gifts.
Please follow these steps:
1.) Fill out a “Volunteer Application”
They are on the info counter. They contain all the necessary contact information and give you the ability to share more about what musical gifts you have. (instruments played, vocal abilities, etc)
2.) Stop in and “visit” one of our band practices
We meet “almost” every 1st and 3rd Tuesday night from 7 – 9 pm. If you want to be sure there is practice, please call ahead. This is only a visit and allows you to see how we operate.
3.) Call the church office and set-up an audition
This audition is NOT about performance but about your ability to help lead worship without distraction.
The qualities we look for in a Worship Team member:
#1 thing… You must be a Spirit-lead worshiper
