Answer: The main passage in the Bible that mentions the “mark of the beast” is Revelation 13:15-18. Other references can be found in Revelation 14:9, 11, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20, and 20:4. This mark acts as a seal for the followers of Antichrist and the false prophet (the spokesperson for the Antichrist). The false prophet (the second beast) is the one who causes people to take this mark. The mark is literally placed in the hand or forehead and is not simply a card someone carries.
The recent breakthroughs in medical implant chip and RFID technologies have increased interest in the mark of the beast spoken of in Revelation chapter 13. It is possible that the technology we are seeing today represents the beginning stages of what may eventually be used as the mark of the beast. It is important to realize that a medical implant chip is not the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast will be something given only to those who worship the Antichrist. Having a medical or financial microchip inserted into your right hand or forehead is not the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast will be an end-times identification required by the Antichrist in order to buy or sell, and it will be given only to those who worship the Antichrist.
Many good expositors of Revelation differ widely as to the exact nature of the mark of the beast. Besides the implanted chip view, other speculations include an ID card, a microchip, a barcode that is tattooed into the skin, or simply a mark that identifies someone as being faithful to the Antichrist’s kingdom. This last view requires the least speculation, since it does not add any more information to what the Bible gives us. In other words, any of these things are possible, but at the same time they are all speculations. We should not spend a lot of time speculating on the precise details.
The meaning of 666 is a mystery as well. Some speculated that there was a connection to June 6, 2006—06/06/06. However, in Revelation chapter 13, the number 666 identifies a person, not a date. Revelation 13:18tells us, “This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man’s number. His number is 666.” Somehow, the number 666 will identify the Antichrist. For centuries Bible interpreters have been trying to identify certain individuals with 666. Nothing is conclusive. That is whyRevelation 13:18 says the number requires wisdom. When the Antichrist is revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4), it will be clear who he is and how the number 666 identifies him.

Rev. 13:16 The mark, seal or brand. We see the increasing need for a cash-less and credit/debit card-less society; the need for security against theft identity, etc. will drive it. Drawbacks of cash and credit cards: they can be lost, stolen or hacked: “identity theft.” “Smart cards” – with embedded computer chips — first came out in France in 1992! Household pets have had implantable chip technology available since 1989. Could this be some kind of bar code technology? Laser? Like Disneyland’s “invisible” ink tag? Unknown at this time.
Rev. 13:17 Technology has made this possible today: smart cards; embedded chips (used in cattle, dogs); nano-and pico-technology. It’s not YOUR name/number; it’s HIS! Taking on HIS identity! If you take the Antichrist’s (aka The Beast) mark, you CANNOT BE SAVED! (see Rev. 14:9-11).
Rev. 13:18 “666” – Let me first of all say, we will NOT BE HERE to witness the fulfillment of “the mark,” 666. It is the ultimate test of loyalty to Satan and his Antichrist! Six represents Man. In Greek and Hebrew the letters were used to represent numerical values as well (gematria) and many people have tried to ‘decode’ the symbol into various names from Nero to Hitler…but this guy is FUTURE! 666 is an unholy trinity of evil and imperfection – each digit falls short of the perfect number 7. Forget about trying to figure out who the Antichrist is; 2 Thess. 2 says he won’t be revealed until the Restrainer is removed from the world.
We are not to be obsessed with the Antichrist, but JESUS CHRIST and His appearing! WE WON’T BE HERE!!!
Are the COVID-19 vaccine mandates the Mark of the Beast? In a word, “No.” The mark of the beast is not a vaccine, but a “mark,” originally a term from Greco-Roman sculpture properly meaning an engraving (etching); a mark providing undeniable identification, like a symbol giving irrefutable connection between parties. The term was sometimes called a “brand-mark;” originally any impress on a coin or a seal, used by an engraver on a die (stamp, branding iron). Later became “the identification-marker” (like with an owner’s unique “brand-mark”). Ancient documents were validated by such stamps or seals. But, a charagma was always a physical, visible sign, seal, stamp, engraving or validating mark. A vaccine would not qualify as a “mark” (charagma) as in Revelation 13:16 nor would an RFID embedded chip, which is not visible on the outside.
COVID-19 vaccines are not capable of carrying coded information; they do not contain ingredients that can or would produce an electromagnetic field. All COVID-19 vaccines are free from metals. What are the ingredients of the COVID-19 vaccines? Do they include microchips or fetal cells? No — the active ingredient, or component, in the three FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccines is a single-stranded molecule that leads the body to briefly make a protein normally found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19. The body recognizes that protein and creates a strong immune response that teaches your immune system to protect against COVID-19. After vaccination, the body breaks down the vaccine components and gets rid of them within about 36 hours. There are some other components in the vaccines as well, such as lipids (fats) and salts that help the vaccines protect you. Importantly, none of the COVID-19 vaccines contain eggs, gelatin, or latex, and they’re free from heavy metals. There are no microchips or fetal cells in the vaccines, thus no coded information as on an RFID chip. Thus the COVID vaccines have nothing to do with the Mark of the Beast.
